Gaius Caninius Rebilus (died 12 BC) was a Roman Senator who was appointed suffect consul in 12 BC.
==Biography==
Caninius Rebilus was the son of Gaius Caninius Rebilus, suffect consul in 45 BC.〔Syme, pg. 56〕 A member of the ''Quindecimviri'',〔Syme, pg. 48〕 he was listed for a suffect consulship in 11 BC.〔Stern Gaius, ''Women, Children, and Senators on the Ara Pacis Augustae: A Study of Augustus' Vision of a New World Order in 13 BC.'' (2006), pg. 359〕 However, in 12 BC he was appointed suffect consul, replacing Valgius Rufus.〔Syme, pgs. 55-56〕 He died while still serving in office.〔Syme, pg. 153〕 His son was probably Gaius Caninius Rebilus, the suffect consul of AD 37.
